Sales/Applications engineer – RF/MW instrumentation
Signal Solutions is a niche representative and distributor company focusing on test and measurement applications in the Nordic and Baltic market. Signal Solutions also have a global cooperation with a large telecom OEM. We are a young and dynamic small company with a strong drive to have fun and grow our business.
Signal Solutions have a number of RF/MW instrumentation suppliers/vendors that we believe have great potential in our market, but to be successful we need the right person.
The Sales/Applications engineer will be responsible for developing business for our instrumentation suppliers/vendors in the Nordic and Baltic region.
To be successful, face to face customer visits including product demonstrations are necessary. When in the office the sales/applications engineer follow up on the actions created on the field and is in close contact with our suppliers who are based in USA, China and Europe. Depending on the candidate the role can be purely focusing on the technical part of the sales cycle/ applications engineering or also include the commercial parts of the sales cycle and then include budgeting, quoting, negotiating, forecasting etc.
The job requires 25-50% travel within the region (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Baltics) to visit customers to do product introductions and demonstrations. The rest of the time will be spent either at a home based office or in one of the established offices of Signal Solutions in Finland or Sweden.
The Sales/Applications engineer should have a technical background in RF/Microwave measurement technology and be well acquainted with instrumentation used in RF/Microwave design and production environments, which is ranging from power meters to signal generators, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers. The candidate should also be well aware of accessories needed with the instrumentation like filters, attenuators, cable assemblies, adapters, amplifiers etc.
If the candidate is aiming to fully drive the whole sales cycle and manage the instrumentation product group we expect the candidate to have a couple of years’ experience in a sales or customer facing role in addition to the technical background.
The candidate needs to like to meet new people, be sociable and needs to want to do what it takes to provide best in class service to the customers we serve.
The candidate needs to be fluent in English in both writing and speaking. It is also an advantage to know any of the Nordic languages Swedish, Danish, Norwegian or Finnish.
